This regulator screw on to the top of the CO2 cartridge and you use the lever on top to regulate the air flow into your tyre. The round tube shown under the regulator is a bit of soft tube to slip over the cartridge so it doesn't get damaged.

This item ships with two co2 cartridges to ensure you're all set to use it.
